A few years ago, Cecile Cassel was a talented actress living in the shadow of his brother, Vincent. In 2014, she decided to embrace the rock path under a new name : Hollysiz. What a life-changing idea ! Today, Cecile is one of the best things that happened to french music : her voice is enchanting, her moves are daunting, and her sense of music is dashing. Watch and learn, lads :
Did we mention Cecile’s first album was honored with a gold record ? 📀 She moved a few months to New York and came back with lots of hip hop & electro rock inspirations for a second album, “Rather than talking” which may be even better than the first. We’ll be seeing Hollysiz today at the Krakatoa, one of our favorite venues. And it’s been hard to wait for it. So in the meantime, we had to do what we do best : watch cat videos on youtube cakify Hollysiz.
It wasn’t really difficult finding the right treat for such an amazing artist, considering her first album looks like this :
You’re right, we had no choice but to trifle Cecile. 🍓 Strawberry and cream is a classic but we enjoyed twisting it with lime juice, a pinch of black pepper and last but not least , lots of addictive cookie dough crumble. You’re so not ready for this taste explosion.

Ingredients
For the cookies
250g butter
2 eggs
10g baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
3 cups flour
100g hazelnut powder
200g chocolate chips
For the trifle
500g strawberries
50cl heavy cream
125g mascarpone
100g icing sugar
Lime juice
pepper
vanilla
Preheat your oven at 180°C.
Make cookie dough by assembling all the ingredients starting with the eggs. Form little balls and place on a baking pan. Bake for 12 minutes. Allow to cool down… THEN SMASH IT ! SMASH IT HARD !
Cut your strawberries in two. Add lime juice, sugar and pepper. Yes pepper. You read well my friend, we’re gonna ask you to trust us on this.
Make a nice chantilly : whip the cream, the icing sugar and the vanilla in a cold glass bowl. Whip it until it asks mercy. Or holds its shape when you withdraw the whip. ;Now for the assembling. Take a large bowl or glass, then make several layers of crumbled cookie, strawberries and cream.
Sprinkle lime zest over it.
