I wanna taste them but I better not touch (don’t touch !), I want some cupcakes but my senses tell me to stop – The Gourgandines
Once upon a time, there was a man called Vincent, who sucked at applying eye-liner.
He renamed himself Alice and decided to take over the world with a brand new musical concept : $hock Rock. Although no one ever understood what $hock rock is, strangely the plan worked. Nowadays, everyone knows Vincent Furnier and his passion for creepy rock songs, ghoulish shows and black humour. Well, ladies and gentlemen, this odd fellow is like a god to us. Yup, we heart Alice Cooper.
Since you know our passion for creating freaky yet tasty desserts, making a Alice Cooper special treat was kind of an obligation. Halloween might be over, but we couldn’t resist making our favorite celebration last a little longer by giving this Alice Cooper cake a gloomy look.
Start a little fire, and baby start cookin’…
Alice Cooper’s Feed My Frankestein Cupcakes
8 red plums
2 table spoons butter
We’re hungry women but we don’t want pizza. Preheat you oven to 200°C.
Cut the plums into four pieces each, remove the stones.
Mix all the ingredients and cook for 30 minutes. Set aside to cool for a few minutes. Also, save the plum juice for later.
And try not to eat everything. Again.
Coca cola cupcakes
1 cup yoghourt
1package instant yeast
1/2 cup oil
1 and 1/2 cup brown sugar
3 cups flour
5 tbsps cherry coke
a pinch of salt
black food coloring
Coca cola candy
While your oven preheats to 180C, line muffin cups with papers.
Beat, beat, beat the eggs with the sugar, add yeast, oil and yoghurt.
Add flour little by little. Pour some cherry coke in your cupcake dough. Stir in the coffee extract.
Add black food coloring at your convenience.
Place spoonfuls of the mixture into the baking cases. Add 1 or 2 candied plums in the mixture and bake for 15-20 min. Make your tattoos melt in the heat.
When baked, let the cakes cool off a little, then add a coke candy in each cupcake.
Cherry-coke and plum buttercream
250g icing sugar
5 tbsps cherry coke
Red and blue food coloring
With an electric mixer, beat the butter in a large bowl until soft, add the icing sugar gently.
Now for the creative part : add food coloring until the buttercream is purple like Wednesday Addams panties. Spoon the icing into a piping bag and decorate your cupcakes. The more buttercream, the better.
Now enjoy your cupcakes.
You’re so welcome. What’s the weirdest cupcake you’ve tasted ?
